Eraser Drawing
These drawings caused me some frustration especially the first one which I only used vine charcoal for. I started by applying the charcoal entirely to my page. I struggled to keep the surface clean every time I touched the surface charcoal would come of leaving marks from my hands. I eventually decided to work with that and walked over my drawing using my feet as erasers, They picked up the charcoal after walking over the surface I began working back into the footprints with my eraser to remove more charcoal. My other Two eraser drawings were really about the sound. The second drawing I used rembrandt charcoal and I used my eraser on a point and worked it it circles in a rhythmic way. The third eraser drawing is where the sound really became part of the drawing I used black paper and white oil pastel, covering my black paper entirely with pastel, I then came back in and removed the oil pastel in circles with a carving tool. The sound was really loud and rhythmic. The fourth drawing I used my easer like a smudging tool to blend the charcoal together creating a texture on the surface.
